About Me

As with many people in the helping/healing professions, my personal development journey started with a desire to self-heal, find inner peace and achieve a real and enduring sense of well-being; things that eluded me for the first three decades of my life.

This journey consciously started in my teens, and coupled with a deep fascination with the ‘big questions of life’ (Who am I? What am I doing here? What is the point of human existence?), it led me on a quest for knowledge about the human condition, about human consciousness and personal empowerment.

Eventually this search led me to greater self-awareness, self-knowledge and, gradually over time, spiritual self-realisation.

Needless to say, this is all still ‘work in progress’.

Having graduated from the London School of Economics in 1989 with an honours degree, I entered local government and had a successful managerial career in education research and statistics that spanned a twenty-year period.

During this time my professional life ran parallel with my pursuit of spiritual and personal growth. I explored countless holistic therapies, was greatly influenced by the works of personal development writers, both ancient and modern, joined a number of spiritually based organisations, and met with some truly awesome and inspiring people.

It was in 2008 that my two worlds converged. I made the decision to leave my full-time job and pursue a career in counselling and healing. It was time to live my truth.

I know from personal experience how rewarding personal transformation can be. It is not always an easy road to take because it means taking full responsibility for everything in life: the good, the bad, and especially the ugly! It’s so much easier to blame everything and everyone else. But, I believe this is a journey worth embarking on as the rewards – inner peace, personal empowerment and a heightened sense of well-being – are worth the effort. I now barely recognise the old ‘me’.

Learning and self-development are lifelong pursuits; none of us ever stop growing. In the same way that those who have walked alongside me on my journey have offered me support and perspective, I am privileged to be able to offer this same support to others.

I have been doing energy healing since 2007 (qualifying as a Reiki Master and an accredited EMF Balancing Practitioner in 2008). I have been counselling since 2009, initially at the local hospice (up to 2012) and now in my own private practice. I started teaching meditation classes in 2011, and I qualified as an NLP and Hypnotherapy NLP Coach in 2013. The latest additions to my services are Soul Plans, which I trained to deliver in 2015, and Divine Healing, which I learnt in 2016. I became a published author in 2019 when my book The Power of Speaking Your Truth was published.

I work with a broad range of issues and specialise in helping people to work through the challenges they may be facing, and leading them back to a state of well-being and balance. I also help people to understand and step into their Soul Purpose. My desire is to support people in their journey towards personal empowerment and self-development, whatever form that might take.
